Again no Health walks allowed today.
Started from the Berkeley Drive Car Park and walked down James' Walk to see the bluebells which surprisingly seemed less than last week.
We carried on down the Cinder Path, Cycle Path, Cock Cabin Wood, Walkers Wood, across the Stone Bridge and Picnic Area up the Long Steps to

the Lake. Looking across to the Island from here you could see a Heron sitting on it's nest but the stars of the show today

were nine Canada Geese goslings

I wonder how many there will be next week. The ducks must conceal their chicks?
Up into Dog Kennel Wood, through into Gravel Hole Wood and down to the Cycle Track again and just round the corner to rest on the bench

View from the bench. Carrying on from here round the river to pick up the well worn path along the river, now getting more torturous each visit - is it or am I ageing fast?

Across the Stepping Stones and along the field to cross the Peter Wagstaff Bridge and walk through the field to pick up he Cycle Track at the Covert Pond then up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum back to the car and drive home
