Photos by Michael S - Please click on photos to see a larger one Again no Health walks allowed today. Started from the Berkeley Drive Car Park and walked down Snake Hill, across the Stone Bridge, across the Picnic Area, up the long Steps to the Lake - I insist on calling it a Lake because, according to the Oxford Dictionary a reservoir is: a large natural or artificial LAKE used as a source of water supply . . . as far as I'm aware the water is not used for anything and never has been. There is a spring nearby which used to have water pumped up to the storage tank on the roof of the Hall - I have some information and for several years now have intended to make it into an article but it hasn't happened yet. We walked along the Dam and joined Cam Lane to walk through the Kissing Gate towards Hawks Clough As we approached the Kissing Gate at Hawks Clough we veered of left and climbed up along the edge of the depression in the Cow Field and followed the fence
Into Cam Wood again, coming out on to Cam Lane, turning right to Sheephill, crossing the road, entering Glenmore, following the path to join Back Lane, into the Town Brow Car Park, across the Friends Bridge, along the path, over the Stepping Stones, along Michael's Walk, out on to the Cycle Track, up Cardiac Hill, into the Pinetum and back to the car which was parked on the LWT Car Park as instructed by the Ranger as there was an unloading of material for the wooden shack from a huge Wagon taking place blocking access to the Park Car Park Compiled by Michael Swarbrick with grateful thanks to Jimmy for finding me and walking with me.
