Photos by Sandy - Please click on photos to see a larger one It was really wet and muddy, but not raining Twenty-four walkers today. James was leading, John W was back marker and Carmel leading the Elite walk, four today. James, thrust into the limelight, Michael was supposed to be leading but he was unwell, took over with John W as back Marker. Carmel again volunteered to lead the Elite walk as Suzie was also unwell! James decided to do the same walk he had led on the 19th. He led off into the Pinetum, down Cardiac Hill, over the Wooden Bridge We entered the south side of the Park, climbed up to the top and dropped down, leaving the Cycle track
We walked up the hill to our 'turning back for home' point. We emerged across from the Ley Inn and set off down Back Lane but James soon took us into Sheep Hill Wood
We emerged from Sheep Hill Wood on to Sheep Hill Lane and walking down to the bottom we crossed the road and reentered the Park.
We returned up Cardiac Hill and back to the Barn via the Pinetum Carmel led the Elite walkers down Snake Hill along the valley bottom to Cardiac Hill where they met Graham and Bernadette, they had split from the other group at Town Brow as Graham's knee was playing up. They joined us and took it easy and by the time we got back to the Barn it was OK. That made 7 on the short walk.
