Photos by Michael - Please click on photos to see a larger one Today we had twenty-eight walkers for a dry and sometimes sunny day. Margaret was leading the main walk with John W as back marker. Abi was supposed to be assessing Margaret but she left a message with the office that she couldn't come. Peter was leading the Elite walk. Margaret led us round the sunny side of the Hall and shortly afterwards the Elite walkers cut through the passage into the Sue Ryder car park and picked up the main group route as they passed the Hall. Margaret turned left and led us down Snake Hill whereas Peter turned right and led the Elite walkers up past the new building and into the Pinetum, down Cardiac Hill and over the Wooden Bridge turning left walking along the Cycle Track towards the Lake. As the Main Group walked down Snake Hill Margaret took us left up Bikers Hill and into Cock Cabin Wood
From Dog Kennel Wood we entered Gravel Hole Wood and walking down the side of Black Banks Wood we crossed the Wooden Bridge and walked up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and back to the Barn. As we reached the car park, struggling up Snake Hill were the Elite walkers who appeared miffed because we had arrived back to the Barn before them getting the best seats in the classroom. The Elite walkers had walked round the Lake and down the long steps, along the bottom of the Dam, crossed the Stone Bridge and walked up Snake Hill.
