Lawrence was leading, Frankie was back marker. Brian L was leading the Optional Short Walk Group with Suzie as back marker, eleven today.
We left the Cinder Path, the main group heading off over the M6 and the short option group heading towards Cock Cabin Wood The main group walked under the M65 bridge, with the traffic noise ringing in our ears, into the northern area of the Park. We walked round the main path in an anti-clockwise direction leaving the north side and returning under and over the Motorways back on to the Cycle Track walking direct to the Stone Bridge. From the Stone Bridge we walked up Snake Hill back to the Barn. The Short Option walkers walked round Cock Cabin Pond and down Walkers Wood to the Stone Bridge across the bottom of the Dam, up the steps to the Lake and round the Lake. Just before they left the Lake to climb up into the Field a gentleman pointed out the Heron on its nest in the Trees on the Island. They walked down to the Kissing Gate, down the slope back to the Stone Bridge and followed the main group up Snake Hill to the Barn Red - main group Today's walkers: Main Walk - Ann T, Bettina, Bill, Brian C, Carmel, Clare, Colin D, Frankie, Helen F, Helen G, Hilary, Ilene, James H, James Mc, Janet S, Janice, Joe Mc, John W, Judy, Lawrence, Linda E, Margaret A, Margaret W, Marcia, Maureen Mc, Marilyn, Michael G, Michael S, Muriel, Patricia W, Roseanne, Sandy, Shania, Susan G, Sylvia, Teresa, Vic & Yvonne Short Walk Group - Ann S, Carol R, Carole B, Brian L, Helen F, Irene T, Mary, Muriel, Norman, Pat R & Suzie
