Health Walk - Thursday 6th July 2017

Today we twenty-five walkers.
Carmel was leading the main walk, Michael S was back marker. Peter was leading the short walk option (Elite), Suzi back marking, seven today.
Carmel introduced the walk

and set off down the shaded path straight for the Pinetum

The Elite walkers fooled us by setting off in the same direction but they walked through the Sue Ryder complex and on to James' Walk
Carmel took the main group up to the viewing area

Rejoining the main path down to the Wooden Bridge
and up into Gravel Hole Wood, on through Dog Kennel Wood to the Kissing Gate and entered the Field walking to Hawks Clough. At Hawks Clough we walked clockwise round the 'ASDA' ring returning to Hawks Clough and along the edge of the Field.
We walked down through the Kissing Gate and descended the slope to the river.

the new building looking grand without the scaffolding, back over the Wooden Bridge and up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum back to the Barn.
The Elite walkers found the Cinder Path and turned right onto the Cycle Track to Cock Cabin Wood. They walked round the Pond leaving the wood to enter Walkers Wood emerging to walk up Snake Hill back to the Barn
