Photos by Michael - Please click on photos to see a larger one Today we had only eighteen walkers. It turned out to be lovely morning. James was leading the main walk, Carmel was back marker. Suzi was leading the short walk option (Elite) Brain H, making a welcome comeback, was back marker - seven today. James introduced the walk and set off down Berkeley Drive then along Shady Lane. He promised us only one stile! We walked along Shady Lane until we came to the stile into the field but as James promised we were able to open the gate to get into the field. We were also able to walk round the second stile too.
We crossed the road, Town Brow, after a wait because the traffic was difficult. When it was clear one way the other way was not for a considerable time. We entered the south side of the Park and walked along the Cycle Track until we came to the first turn off to the left. We walked over the river by the footbridge into another field
Now on Sheep Hill Lane and crossing at the bottom. We walked along the Cycle Track, passing the Covert Pond, to the Wooden Bridge. We crossed the Wooden Bridge. as ever looking for fish and as ever there are none visible. We started up Cardiac Hill, The Elite walkers started the other way and walked in front of the south side of the Hall and down Snake Hill where they turned up Bikers hill and entered Cock Cabin Wood. They walked round the Pond and came back on to the the Cycle Track and returned down Bikers Hill, where they crossed the Stone Bridge. They walked walked along the bottom of the Dam and up the Long Steps to the Lake walking over the Dam to the short steps then down to the river walking along the river over the Wooden Bridge ahead of the main group up Cardiac Hill, into the Pinetum but then walked up one of the 'shortcuts' to the car park before returning to the Barn
