I couldn't possibly let the Boxing Day get-together pass without expressing my thanks for such a thoroughly delightful walk, with special mentions for John & Margaret for their considered guidance, and the kindness of the catering team who provided the much appreciated alfresco refreshments in the car park afterwards. The spirit and conviviality of the group was so evident, we were even commended by passers-by! As one might imagine after the indulgences of Christmas Day, the park was very busy with a greater number of exercisers and dog walkers than usual, but the most charming sight was all the bright & shiny new bikes and scooters being rode by little bundles of clothing, which I presume contained excited little children(?). There certainly was a nip in the air, with smatterings of hail lying about, but thankfully the forecast of rain proved incorrect and, as if by magic, the clouds parted and the sun shone for our tailgate party at the end. Lots of happy, smiling faces and bucket loads of good will - it simply doesn't get better than that! Many thanks again for your company everyone. Roll on Thursday! . . .
