Health Walk - Monday 1st January 2018 - New Year's Day

Today we had thirty-three twalkers who were rewarded with a lovely walk in sunshine. It was raining when we gathered but it stopped until well after the meal had finished
Michael led the main walk with Lawrence back marking. Carmel led the Elite group with Pat back marking.

Leaving the Ley Inn Car Park Michael took them a few yards down Back Lane to enter the Park into Sheep Hill Wood.

to enter the south side of the Park where, at the top of the hill, we met Carmen's group coming the other way
Carrying on along the Cycle Track we eventually came to Lower Kem Mill where we crossed the river

we all enjoyed our first lunch of 2018. Several less adventurous walkers and partners joined us.

The Elite walkers, short option, left the Ley Inn car park in the opposite direction and crossed Back Lane into the Park, the way the main group had returned but they took a short cut down to the river and walked north out of the south side to Town Brow to return to the Ley Inn by walking up Back Lane.
After the meal Maureen thanked Carmel for organising the meal and presented her with a bouquet on behalf of all of us.
