Health Walk - Tuesday 9th January 2018

Today we had forty-nine twalkers who were rewarded with a lovely walk on a dry day after four sunny days

Carmel led the main walk with James Mc back marking.  Susan S led the Elite group with Colin C back marking.

Carmel introduced herself and outlined her plans.  

She led us off into the Pinetum and down Cardiac Hill, over the Wooden Bridge

a quick glance at the river through the bare trees,

into Gravel Hole Wood, through Dog Kennel Wood leaving to go through the Kissing Gate up into the Field and

We walked up past the Ponderosa, still many enquiries as to who owns it,

a quick look to se if the otters were still around

and down into Green Wood following the path back

to Hawks Clough and back along Cam Lane to descend to the Kissing Gate and down the slope

to cross the Stone Bridge where we encountered for the second time a group of walkers on a day out from Brindle.

We marched on up Snake Hill back to the Barn where we were greeted by the Elite walkers , thirteen today

The Elite walkers walked straight down Snake Hill, crossed the Stone Bridge and walked up the slope to enter Dog Kennel Wood, walking into Gravel Hole Wood and returning along the river to cross the Stone Bridge and led the main group up Snake Hill back to the Barn
