Photos by Michael S - Please click on photos to see a larger one Today we had thirty-four walkers who were rewarded with a wet morning getting worse as the walk progressed James led the main walk with Carmel back marking. Brian led the Elite group with Pat back marking but half way Sue took over with Colin taking over back marking. James introduced himself and Carmel and then he went on to outlined his plans which were a long walk expected to be around seventy-five minutes. We set off down the path and on into the Pinetum down Cardiac Hill over the Wooden Bridge and headed south along the Cycle Track. The Elite walkers disappeared in the direction of Sue Ryder's Cafe, the 'sunny side' of the Hall and Snake Hill James led us across Sheep Hill Lane and up Back Lane turning right at the top back into the Park. We walked along the path until we could turn right again, down through the Kissing Gates, over the footbridge back to the Cycle Track
We climbed up only to walk down again this time to Town Brow. We crossed the road and reentered the Park to carry on along the Cycle Track, past the Covert Pond, over the Wooden Bridge to climb up Cardiac Hill, up alongside the new building, the staff are now safely installed, and back to the Barn The short option walkers turned up Bikers Hill into Cock Cabin Wood walking round anti-clockwise
