Photos by Amanda & Michael S - Please click on photos to see a larger one Today we had Thirty-two walkers who were rewarded with a lovely sunny walk although there was a strong cold wind and lots of mud Margaret W led the main walk with John W back marking. Colin C led the Elite group with Ann S back marking. Margaret took us round the back and along the sunny side of the Hall
We crossed the Stone Bridge and walked along the bottom of the Dam and climbed up to the Lake. The Elite walkers had turned up to Bikers Hill and walked through Walkers Wood before returning down Bikers Hill to the Stone Bridge and walked up the Slope beside the Lake to climb up into Dog Kennel Wood.
We passed Hawksclough Farmhouse, hidden on the left, continuing along Cam Lane past the Ponderosa dropping down into Green Wood. The steps and the path at the bottom are like a quagmire We continued anti-clockwise round the wood until we got back to Cam Lane walking along the Filed and down through the Kissing Gate
We came into Gravel Hole Wood leaving to cross the Wooden Bridge and followed the Elite walkers up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and back to the Barn
