Health Walk - Thursday 15th March 2018
Photos by Michael S & Sheila T - Please click on photos to see a larger one
Today we had nineteen walkers and Paddy.
James led the main walk with Carmel back marking. Suzi led the short option walk
No Keith today so it's all my own work except a photo from Sheila
James outlined his plans making sure that everyone was happy to climb over the stiles in the Cow Field but even so we'd see how things turned out. This was to be our last walk from the Barn but we didn't know at the time.

As we walked past the new Visitors Centre the approach to the building had been turfed and was looking good

We crossed the Stone Bridge, walked round the Picnic Area, climbed up to the Lake, through the Kissing Gate, along Cam Lane, through Hawks Clough and past the Ponderosa

We left Cam Lane to join the footpath to the Cow Field

As we break out of Cam Wood you can just see the New Visitors Centre peeping out among the trees of Dog Kennel Wood.

The building really is nearing completion. The staff moved in a couple of weeks ago, we meet there for the first time on Tuesday. The veranda is enclosed with what look like boat fittings
