David took us over the Wooden Bridge We continued along Route 55 to Town Brow walking along the Queen Mother's avenue of Oaks. David took us up Sheephill crossing over at the top into Cam Lane and along past the Ponderosa. continuing along Cam Lane past Hawks Clough we descended to the Lake passing the Heron chicks and walk round the Lake Sheila and Michael got behind looking at the Orchids and Damselflies the others had disappeared by now. Thinking we'd heard Cinder Path when David offered his alternative walk we turned right and walked along Route 55 down the Cinder Path and back round the front of Cuerden Hall to the Visitors Centre. We couldn't see the others ahead of us? They had returned down Bikers Hill and walked up Snake Hill back to the Visitors Centre Jen took the Elite walkers through the Car Park, past the Old Man into the Pinetum along the path past the viewing Area and down Cardiac Hill. They crossed the Wooden Bridge and climbed up into Gravel Hole Wood passing over the Clayton-Le-Woods WI Bridge into Dog Kennel Wood, emerging to look at the Heron's nest returning to walk round the Lake, down the Long Steps, along the bottom of the Dam, over the Stone Bridge and walked up Snake Hill back to the Visitors centre.
