Photos by Michael S - Please click on photos to see a larger one Today we only had thirty-five walkers, usually forty to fifty. It was a blisteringly hot morning with clear blue skies Carmel led the main walk with James back marker. Brian L led the short option walk with Colin C back marking. Carmel introduced the walk and led off into the Pinetum then down Cardiac Hill, over the Wooden Bridge turning left along the river (Cycle Track). She took us over the Stone Bridge, up Bikers Hill and along the Cycle Track into the north side of the Park walking anti-clockwise round the path. Michael & Ricky reminisced about both being Christened at St. Saviour's Church and the enigmatic vicar in Michael's teens who started him off developing films and printing photographs. We climbed uphill back alongside the M65 Leaving the north side and Brian L led the Elite walkers down Snake Hill, over the Stone Bridge, up the Slope, alongside the east shore of the Lake, up into the Field from the Lake but came back down to go through the Kissing Gate and up into Dog Kennel Wood, through Gravel Hole Wood, to lead them over the Wooden Bridge, up Cardiac Hill, into the Pinetum and back to the Visitors Centre
