Health Walk - Tuesday 7th August 2018

Today we only had twenty-eight walkers and Oscar.

It was an overcast morning.

James led the main walk with Elizabeth as back marker.   Suzi S led the short option walk with Colin C back marker.

James introduced himself and explained his plans then introduced back marker Elizabeth.  He set off down Snake Hill

but turned sharply left to walk towards Cuerden Hall

He took us around his Bluebell walk on to the Cinder Path

As we came out of the Cinder Path we met the Elite walkers waiting for us to pass them.  They had started in the opposite direction, walked past and round the Barn onto the Drive.

Following us round the Cycle Track

to walk into Cock Cabin Wood but the main group kept to the Cycle Track and led the Elite group down Bikers Hill to

cross the Stone Bridge

to walk along the river.

The Elite group crossed the Wooden Bridge and climbed Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and back to the Visitors Centre

James continued with the main group past the Covert Pond

and left the track to walk along the field

back on to the Track and followed the Elite walkers over the Wooden Bridge, up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and back to the Visitors Centre
