Health Walk - Thursday 6th December 2018

Today we had only fifteen walkers with wet and windy conditions, challenging the leaders to find a safe route.

Lawrence was the leader of the main walk with Frankie back marker.  

Pat R led the Elite group with John B back marker.

Lawrence took us down Snake Hill over the Stone Bridge round the Picnic Area, up to the Lake, round the Lake

Lawrence led us up the steps on to Cam Lane and Hawks Clough.  Carrying on along Cam Lane we passed the Ponderosa and reached Sheep Hill Lane where we crossed the road and walked down Sheep Hill to the bottom where we crossed back into the Park

we came to Cardiac Hill where Lawrence gave us the option of walking up or carrying on along the river to the Stone Bridge

The Elite group started down Snake hill but turned off to go round the Hall and walked down the Drive until they got to Cuerden Close which they followed and cut across to Berkeley Drive walking back up to the Pinetum.

They walked up to the Viewing Platform and continued down Cardiac Hill, crossing the Wooden Bridge and walking along the Cycle Path to the Stone Bridge.  Here they crossed the bridge and walked round the little triangle before climbing Snake Hill back to the Visitors Centre

Today's walks (Red Main Group, Green Short Walk Option Group).  
Where there are green arrows on the red route it means the Elite walkers had followed the main >> or the main group had followed the Elite walkers >>.
