Today we had eighteen walkers for a very chilly start to the walks but we soon warmed up.
John W was the leader of the main walk with Sheila T back marker.
Margaret W led the Elite group with David H back marker.

Looking back we saw the Elite walkers struggling behind us. They had followed us through the car park, round the side of the Barn but had turned into the Hall car park walking round the east side of the Hall to go down Snake Hill, over the Stone Bridge, round the Picnic Area to climb up the Long Steps to the Lake.
The walked across the Dam and turned up into Dog Kennel Wood, through Gravel Hole Wood and picked up the main group's route via the Pinetum back to the Visitors Centre

At the end of the walk Sheila, John and Edward are comparing their GPS results and concluded that the main group had walked 2.4 miles
Today's walks (Red Main Group, Green Short Walk Option Group).
Where there are green arrows on the red route it means the Elite walkers had followed the main >> or the main group had followed the Elite walkers >>.
