Michael's 2012 Dinghy Racing Reports Sailing Home Frostbite 9 & 10 - !7th & 18th November. A lovely sunny day with a gentle to moderate mainly westerly breeze, gusting fresh (F3 to F4 - F5). Seven boats turned out to race but as far as I can make out only two completed the course. . . . . Frostbite 8 - Four boats today. A lovely sunny day with a moderate south easterly breeze. Four boats turned out. Samantha Topping, crewing for Dad timed both races, Martin selected the course. The course for both races was. . . . . Frostbite 4 - Just two boats today! Evening 5 - 8th September Crusier Piel Race Start - 1st September Summer 2 - It was a lovely afternoon but sadly there was no racing. Five boats took to the water: . . . The D K Wright Trophies & Spring 3 - Sunday 20th May - It was a pleasant day but sadly there was hardly any wind. North easterlies were forecast but we had mostly west. Six boats turned up and took to the water. . . . . The 7th North West Coast Icicle Sunday - Sunday 25th March - Seven boats turned up for the racing but as one had left its rudder at home its crew volunteered to be the OOD. It was a glorious sunny day, is it our summer turning up early again? . . . . . The 5th North West Coast Icicle Sunday - Nine of us turned up for the racing, including Owen who was the OOD . . . . The 4th North West Coast Icicle Sunday - 12 February, was abandoned because of lack of wind. Three boats were ready to race: John Enterprise, John Bosun and Michael Topper The 3rd North West Coast Icicle Sunday - Sunday 29th January - no wind on Saturday but there was some for us today - SE F2-3. Two races . . . . The 2nd North West Coast Icicle Sunday - Horrendous winds and we cancelled the racing. The 1st North West Coast Icicle Sunday - Sunday 8th January. Gales or near gales had been raging for a long time. But, even though it was dull the wind had dropped to allow the Glasson sailors the chance to take part in the first North West Icicle Sunday.
